Educational System in Australia
Education in Australia is compulsory for eleven years, but university bound students study for thirteen years. The curriculum is nationalized across Australia with students learning core subjects such as Mathematics, English, science, social studies and physical education. Upon completion of their year 12 certificate, students in Australia usually undertake a bachelor’s program for three to six years. In addition to year 12 certificate equivalence, international students are required to demonstrate English fluency, which can be provided by an internationally recognized test result such as IELTS of 6.0 or higher OR TEOFL of 80 or higher.
